Dota 2 just released their new version of dota called “Dota 2 Reborn”, it’s still currently in beta at this time. With it you have a brand new interface, new engine, and even new Custom Games. The dashboard has been completely redesigned, which also utilizes a new UI framework and the engine that ultimately powers the game has been fully replaced.
This is what the Dota 2 Reborn dashboard will look like. From scratch they have rebuilt the entire thing which will make it easier to use and more appealing to the eye. With the new UI framework they have it makes the game more lightweight, but also makes the foundation stronger so they can easily add more features in future updates.
You now have the ability to compare yourself to your friends and explore their play-styles and keep track of their accomplishments, even comment on their progress if you would like. Miniprofiles are customizable for players, so when someone hovers over your avatar they will be able to see the profile you made. Here you can show off your favorite heroes stats, your most treasured items and trophies. Another new feature allows you to see a person hero MMR, breaking down how your friends do with individual heroes in relation to their overall MMR.
The new chat interface makes it easier for players to form communities, and to help them get to know other players as they participate in more conversations. Now you can whisper friends to chat with them quickly and efficiently, and have the ability to carry on multiple conversations at once.
With the new redesigned hero browser it is easier to sort through to learn about heroes, practice with them, and customize them how you want. The new hero pages let you quickly browse and try on every set and item available for that hero. Once you come across one you like, you simply click the purchase button and you are good to go. Along with this new hero page you have the chance to demo a hero to see if hes right for you. This gives you a safe place to try out any abilities and practice last hitting, the hero will also wear any items you have selected to try on.
The experience someone has while watching Dota 2 is just as important as the experience of someone playing. With the redesigned watch section, you can now more easily find the matches you want to see, and enjoy the game with a revamped DotaTV experience. They combined the best parts of DotaTV with the best parts of streaming. The player will have access to detailed stats and graphics for you to browse while also supporting full tournament video production. They are capable of 1080p at 60 frames per second, while carrying an embedded data feed for stats and graphs.
