Dirty Bomb is a F2P first person shooter game that is currently available (beta version) in steam. The scene is a post-apocalyptic wasteland in London, where law and order no longer exist. You have to call in mercenaries to battle it out for riches and bragging rights. Work together or die alone in one of the most challenging team-based FPS.
The game honestly blew me away. For a F2P, first person shooter, this is one of the best I have ever played. It runs smooth, the shooting feels good, and the sound effects are great. It almost has a battlefield feel to it, just without everyone running for the jets/helicopters. The Mercs range anywhere from orbital lasers and carpet bombing runs to machine gun turrets and a mini gun, each Merc is a unique and special snowflake.
Dirty Bomb tries to take first person shooters back to their purest roots, a fast-paced team game that can challenge even the most competent players. It also comes with no controller support (sorry for you mouse/keyboard noobies) or aim assist, you rely solely on skill and reaction. The games main mode, Stopwatch puts two teams of five players against each other in an objective based battle. Each team takes a chance attacking and defending, the fastest completion time wins.
