TWIG Update (This Week In Gaming) | 6.28.15-7.4.15

In this weeks TWIG Update we will go over the 3 games being released and some Pre-Alpha/Demos that are definitely worth trying. Later this week be on the lookout for Pneuma: Breath of Life. We have a pre-access code to do a review on the game which will be released on July 7th, our review will go up on the 1st.

On Wednesday, July 1st, we have Rise of Incarnates being released for the PC. This is an action hack & slash type game, Rise of Incarnateswith fast paced combat and some decent graphics. You get to play as several different incarnates , who are humans that had mythical powers awoken from within, their powers will allow them to transform into creatures or summon a being to assist them in battle. The setting is in a world suffering from a series of catastrophic events, also dubbed as the “cube phenomena”, you can experience meteorties falling from the sky, massive cold fronts and over disasters that have people on the planet living in fear. More information on Rise of Incarnates can be found here.

Right after the release of Rise, we have Ar Nosurge Plus: Ode to an Unborn Star, originally released on the scr01_zoom_018PS3 back in 2014 it’s now going to be available for the PS Vita. It’s a story of love, bonds, and the strength and frailty of existence. It features an exhilarating battle system, one where the power of thought is transmitted through a song to become “Song Magic” and can sweep away the enemies. The “Surge Concerto” series uses this concept as a jumping-off point to create genres in gaming across numerous different consoles. More information on Ar Nosurge Plus: Ode to an Unborn Star can be found here.

Also on July 2nd we have Legends of Eisenwald for the PC coming available through steam. An old school RPG/Strategy steamworkshop_webupload_previewfile_113108799_previewgame that will hopefully carry on the proud tradition of games like King Bounty or Disciples 2. The combat system is heavily streamlined to create a dynamic form of turn-based battle that maintains all of the tactical benefits of a turn-based system but a much faster pace of play that removes the frustrating moving between attacks. You will be able to enjoy deep skill-trees and multiple options for customizing your character and army as you progress through the game. More information on Legends of Eisenwald can be found here.

Also some games worth trying this week that are currently in beta version or pre alpha. Thanks again for everybody checking out the update. Please let us know what you think, we are open to any sort of feed you guys think we should include or take away in the weekly TWIG Updates, don’t hesitate to speak up.. We don’t bite.
