Warner Bros. Knew That Arkham Knight PC Was A Train Wreck

It’s no secret that the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight was a complete train wreck to say the least. At this moment it’s not even possible to buy it on Steam, so you know the game has some issues. With all this being said, sources are now saying that Warner Bros. knew it was going to be a train wreck long before it even came out.

This was releasd by Kotaku, who had two sources comment on the PC release and it’s state when it hit the market.

“I will say that it’s pretty rich for WB to act like they had no idea the game was in such a horrible state,”

said one quality assurance tester who worked on the game for years.

“It’s been like this for months and all the problems we see now were the exact same, unchanged, almost a year ago.”

These two sources from Kotaku, who are speaking anonymously, also told them that Warner was well aware of the problems, that the problems had been around for longer than a year. But Rocksteady was more involved in , fixing the bugs on the xbox one and ps4 editions. Also most of the testing that was conducted was done only at 720p resolutions, which is well below what most PC gamers are going to expect. Even worse, Warner allegedly declined to employ any external firms, ones that specialize in testing of PC Games, due to the fact they were “worried about details of the plot leaking ahead of release”, seem suspicious?.

“We reported literally thousands of bugs that were specific to the PC version relating to the frame rate,”

one Kotaku source said.

“All sorts of fucked up texture issues. The Batmobile in particular has always fucked things up on PC.”

They also state that the developer of the game Rocksteady, did not actually work on the ported PC edition, this was all handled by Iron Galaxy. Rocksteady only focused on the console eidtions of Arkham Knight, and didn’t become involved in the PC until it went way off course.

Find the full article at Kotaku here, it’s pretty interesting to read. What do you guys think about them deciding to release the game in it’s current state, is this a total disregard for PC Gamers?
