Back in early 2014 Deadpool was removed from Steam after only six months of being out, this was due to the expiration of Activision’s licensing for the game. Deadpool now unexpectedly shows back up available on Steam but not for Xbox or Playstation.
There hasn’t been any announcement, no press releases, nothing about the game returning to Steam, it just kind of showed up. This could possibly have to do with the Deadpool movie in the making and they are just waiting a little to announce the game closer to the time of release with the movie, but it still seems like they would have had some sort of announcement.
When games are taken off the market like this, collectors rush to try and receive copies of unused Steam codes, which they pay a pretty nice premium price for as well. I bet they are kicking themselves now that the game is easily available for a not so premium price on steam, al though the game was sub par anyways.
