TWIG Update | New Games, QuakeCon, Drug Testing & PC Case Mods

This is our weekly gaming update, it prepares you for the upcoming week, goes over some new game releases, and brings you up to speed on anything within the gaming community.

It’s another fairly slow week for new game releases, only one game will be coming out on the 28th. We have released our new August Gaming List, it will be updated throughout the week to contain details for every game, here you can find the list for June & July.

Lost-DimensionLost Dimension is Coming to PS3 and PS Vita July 28th and is the new sci-fi tactical RPG that you don’t want to miss. It features a visual novel-like system, this is where players can determine the fate of the game’s story, as well as it’s characters.

The game was developed by Lancarse and published by FuRyu, both based out of Japan, and will have $20 worth of DLC for free during the first two weeks of launch.

This includes nine character costumes, 12 PlayStation Network avatars, a map set with additional story and even three additional quests. Find a full gallery and the trailer for the game here.

Last week pro-gamer “Semphis” admitted to using performance enhancing drugs a.k.a Adderall, during his recent ESL One Tournament. There has been a lot of esl-one_cologne2015speculation of what changes might occur following incident. ESL has come out and stated that they are taking steps to prevent this from happening, and are implementing some new rules in regards to the use of PEDs. It appears they will be doing random drug tests at the ESL One Cologne event in August.

They have partnered with NADA, the Nationale Anti Doping Agentur, so they can put together an anti-doping policy that is “fair, feasible, and respects the privacy of the players,” So this will be one of the first tournaments where this kind of policy/random drug testing will be taking place, ESL also stated “eSports needs to mature” and are taking the situation very seriously.

QuakeCon 2015 has been in full swing and ends today unfortunately. QuakeCon is a non-stop celebration of games and people who play them, it’s also one of North America’s largest BYOC LAN party. The event has been going on since 1996 and was started by a group of friends on IRC, and it still holds true to it’s original mission as an event created by gamers, for gamers.

Below we have a gallery of some of the best PC Case mods that were posted by PC Gamer.

That’s it for this weeks TWIG Update, make sure to check in next Sunday and you can find our previous TWIG Updates here.

Also don’t forget tomorrow we have our Cosplay Woman of the Week, and on Wednesday we will have our Epic Gaming Fail Clip, if you have any clips you would like to submit please email us at admin@wherethegamersgo.com
