While Ti5 still lingers in our brains, rattled from the 6m echo slam, Dota 2 fans prepare as a new tradition arises in the fall, the Majors. These are a series of four seasonal marquee tournaments culminating in The International. This November will kick off the first Major, taking place in Europe, with Open Qualifiers taking place from October 6-9, and Regional Qualifiers from October 10-13.
Any team will be allowed to compete in the Open Qualifiers, and only two teams from each region will be invited to the Regional Qualifiers. Those who can survive the Regional Qualifiers will then be invited to compete at the Majors.
Some teams will have a direct invitation to the Majors and the Regional Qualifiers, these teams will be revealed on October 5th. A full list of the teams registered for the Majors can be found here.
